Nova Samui Resort
A pool, two bars and beach access five km from the airport
About this hotel
Nova Samui Resort centres its stay around an outdoor pool with a bar and sun terrace, alongside modern Thai-style rooms with a private balcony, minibar, satellite TV and personal safe, and hot showers in every attached bathroom. Guests can go snorkelling and fishing directly off the beach, and the resort's tour desk arranges island day trips for anyone wanting to go further. Hibiscus Restaurant serves international and local dishes, while Alize Bar and Coconut Bar by the pool cover drinks through the day. The resort sits just over a kilometre from the Thai Boxing Stadium and under four kilometres from Fisherman's Village and Bo Phut Pier, with laundry and babysitting services also available.

- Tour desk
Our take
Well suited to families and couples wanting a full-service resort feel with a pool, restaurant and beach access all on one footprint. The babysitting service is a genuine convenience for parents wanting an evening at the pool bar. Guests looking for a dedicated dive centre should note that snorkelling here is casual and shore-based rather than boat-organised scuba diving.
- Book the tour desk's island day trip in advance if you want a proper boat-based excursion.
- Try Hibiscus Restaurant for dinner at least once during a multi-night stay.
- Use the babysitting service if you want an evening at Alize Bar without the kids.
Why we love it
- Outdoor pool with bar and sun terrace
- Direct beach access for snorkelling and fishing
- Two on-site bars plus a restaurant
- Babysitting and laundry services available
Why guests love itBooked Nova Samui Resort for the pool and beach access combination, and both delivered: mornings for snorkelling off the beach, afternoons at the pool bar. Hibiscus Restaurant became a regular dinner stop rather than a one-off, and the tour desk sorted a day trip further around the island without any hassle. Good value resort feel without the price tag of a bigger name.
