About this hotel

Chaweng Park Place trades a beachfront address for a genuinely different outlook: serviced apartments looking over a lake and surrounding mountains rather than the sea. Each air-conditioned room includes a pantry area with a fridge, microwave and sink, plus a sofa, TV and safety deposit box, closer to a small flat than a standard hotel room. The private, Western-style bathroom comes with a hot shower, and guests can rent a car or motorbike on-site to explore the island. Central Festival Samui is a five-minute walk away, and Green Mango Pub and Ice Bar both sit under one and a half kilometres out for an evening away from the property entirely.

  • Lake and mountain views
  • Pantry-equipped rooms
  • Outdoor pool
  • Near Central Festival Samui

Our take

A genuine alternative for travellers who want a self-catering setup and a different view from the sea-facing rooms found everywhere else in Chaweng. The pantry area suits longer stays especially well. Guests wanting a beachfront address within a minute's walk should look elsewhere, since the trade-off here is specifically the inland, lake-and-mountain outlook.

  • Rent a scooter on-site if you plan to visit the beach daily, since it's about a kilometre away.
  • Use the pantry to prepare simple meals and cut down on restaurant costs during a longer stay.
  • Book airport transfers ahead of time, since taxis can be scarce at this inland address late at night.

Why we love it

  • Genuine lake and mountain views
  • Pantry-equipped apartments for self-catering
  • Outdoor pool on-site
  • Five-minute walk to Central Festival Samui
Why guests love it

Booked Chaweng Park Place expecting a compromise on location and the lake-and-mountain view from the balcony turned out to be the highlight of the whole stay. Used the pantry for breakfast most mornings instead of walking out, and Central Festival Samui covered dinner easily at five minutes away on foot. The inland setting meant quieter nights than a beachfront address would have offered.
